Uriah Williams, Pastor

Pastor Uriah Williams is a new resident to Shawano, WI. Though he was born in Merrill, WI, he grew up all over the country with his family as his dad followed his own pastoral calling and later when Uriah would serve in the US Army for 3 years. Peace UCC is his first settled pastorate after a variety of pastoral experiences through internships, supply preaching, and temporary licensures. He currently attends seminary at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and is now in his second year of the Master of Divinity in UCC Studies program at UTS. In his free time, Uriah enjoys hiking, baking, and playing board/card games with his wife, Emma, as well as playing with his dog Russell and reading non-theological books for a change of pace! His favorite biblical passage which also influences his outlook on ministry is Ecclesiastes 3:1 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”

Shelley Marohl, Office Manager

Shelley Marohl is the Office Manager at Peace Church with over two decades of experience. Shelley believes she was guided to this job as she loves to be of help to people and is a good listener when needed. She is a firm believer in the power of positive thinking and the gift of a smile. Shelley’s greatest enjoyment is spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys quilting, reading, and numerous other crafts.

Nathan Falk, Choir Director

Nathan Falk has served as the choir director at Peace UCC since March 2011. He is also employed by the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District as a high school special education teacher, and the Shawano School District as their Theater Manager and High School Forensics Coach. In the community, he has served as the market director for the Shawano Farmers Market 2012-2019, and has served as the executive officer of the Wolf River Builders Association since 2018. He and his husband Jordan also own and operate Singin’ Entertainment LLC (doing DJ, photo booth, sound and lighting). In his free time, he enjoys camping, singing, freelance voice work, graphic design and journalism. He’s also been on stage and behind the scenes of many Mielke Arts Center Productions.

William Meyer, Sexton

It’s me, W.E. “William or Bill” Meyer. Lifetime member after 79 years. I don’t move as fast but get the job done with help from friends. Over 30 years as Scoutmaster of Church Troop 35 producing a number of Eagles, two of them still members. Chairing the Fair Stand also over 30 years. I enjoy working for and with people of all ages.

I spent 8 years in the Air Force, 22 years at the Shawano Post Office and 20 years driving the library Bookmobile. Back in the day I loved to fish, hunt, bowl, play golf and camp. Not so much anymore. I take a lot of pictures and if possible will help out who or wherever I can. I love and have a great family!

Luann Calmes, Custodian

Hi I’m Luann Calmes and I have worked for the church for a while now and through the years I have met many wonderful people. I enjoy gardening, fishing and I spending time with grandkids.
